After several months of preparations and audits Gerlach Germany has now received its certification, valid as of 19 June 2009. Therefore we are an “Authorized Economic Operator” with all related advantages.

Advantages of the AEO certification

The AEO status becomes more and more a prerequisite for the participation in tenders of major, internationally operating companies.

A company that receives the AEO status, meaning that it meets certain criteria, is classified as particularly reliable by the customs authority and receives specific security and trade facilities in import and export, for example:

• fewer controls during customs clearance
• fewer subsequent examinations which are announced in every case
• less effort: from January 1^st  2010 AEO F and AEO S certified companies must only deliver reduced data sets for the required advance notification
